THE STORY
Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s era, Chicago tell the story of Roxie Hart, a young spoused housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her lover after he threatens to leave her.
Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s most infamous criminal lawyer. He helps her transforming her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines. The story is a satire on corruption in the criminal justice administration and “celebrity criminal.”
